Delta Wellbeing’s operations manager wins Operational Leader at prestigious TEC industry awards

Delta Wellbeing’s operations manager Charlotte Green has been awarded the coveted operational leader award at the ITEC Awards 2024.

Organised by the TSA, the industry and advisory body for technology enabled care (TEC) in the UK, the awards celebrate the positive impact TEC services have on the lives of millions of people in the UK.

Charlotte joined Delta Wellbeing as an advisor in September 2019, but from the outset it was clear that she would go far. Her determination and commitment, coupled with a genuine desire to make a difference, saw her quickly rise through the ranks to become Operations Manager in November 2021, just two years after joining the company.

Charlotte is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s 24/7 monitoring centre and its 72 staff, with more than 36,000 connections for alarm monitoring and emergency response, and handling on average over 1.5 million calls a year.

During the last 10 months Charlotte has dedicated herself to the successful delivery of the company’s new digital monitoring and response platform working closely with CGI, one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world, and Delta Wellbeing’s digital transformation partner.

Launched two years ahead of the 2025 analogue switch-off, it will enable health and care services to become fully integrated and expand the range of assistive technology products and telehealth services the company provides, helping to transform the way health and social care is delivered through a ‘whole system’ approach, and supporting the continuous provision of high-quality care across the region.

Charlotte has also been responsible for onboarding 12 new monitoring contracts during the last year and has been working towards her ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management – and that’s all on top of her daily work tasks and activities.

Although still in the early stages of her career, there is no doubt that Charlotte is exceeding in her operational manager role.

Delta Wellbeing’s Head of Operations & Partnerships Rebecca Davies said: "The past year has presented numerous challenges for us, from transitioning to a cloud-based SaaS platform to navigating seasonal hurdles and onboarding 12 new customers amidst the backdrop of a global pandemic. Throughout it all, Charlotte has exemplified a relentless commitment to learning and honing her skills, all while providing unwavering support to her team.”

The awards were held as part of the International Technology Enabled Care Conference (ITEC) conference in Birmingham which is dedicated to helping social care, housing, health and TEC professionals to deliver proactive and preventative digital services to support people in their everyday lives.

Delta Wellbeing is a Local Authority Trading Company, owned by Carmarthenshire County Council, which provides assistive technology and proactive monitoring to support older and vulnerable people to live more independently.
