Technology Enabled Care Assistant

Salary: £19,312 - £20,092 (Grade D)

Delta Wellbeing is looking to recruit a new Technology Assistant into its team. The role will travel across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. This post will be key in the delivery of the service and its ongoing growth in the County. Candidates should be practical, as small power tools are used to install and collect some Telecare items.

Empathy with those who are suffering from illnesses and the ability to talk to people at all levels is essential for this post. Some weekend working is included in this role, and a current driving license is required.

A basic knowledge of Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.

Note - Working hours can be flexible, with a minimum of 20 hours each week. This post is temporary and will initially last until March 2022, when a decision over future funding will be taken.

Delta Wellbeing Advisor

Delta Wellbeing provides a multi-function call/contact handling service 24x7 across south-west Wales. This service is available on an hourly basis to elderly and vulnerable people who use social alarms, it deals with out-of-hours emergency calls for all council services, and is an initial point of contact for social care to adults.

We currently have jobs available. All posts will include shift work, which is currently on an 8 day rota basis.

We are looking for flexible, motivated individuals who will excel in working as a key part of a team delivering vital services. A caring and patient approach, coupled with the ability to work properly in an environment that requires many of you, are essential qualities. Awareness of the issues associated with working with elderly or vulnerable people would be desirable, along with information about social care, and/or other services provided by the local authority.

Candidates should also have a good understanding of computers and a great style when discussing with people over the telephone.

Extensive training is given during the initial 3-month period (those appointed to part-time positions will be required to work up to 3 or 4 days per week during this period in order to receive the training). After the training the post holders will work as part of a team of 40 Advisers, where being supportive and pulling out as a team is critical to the success of the business.

Conversational Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.

Finance Apprentice

Delta Wellbeing is looking to recruit a new Finance Apprentice at its offices at Llanelli.

The post will work as a part of our team to ensure that all financial transactions with both customers and suppliers are accurate, timely, and compliant with the company’s financial regulations and policies.

This is a full-time developmental role where training will be provided. You will be required to attend a local college to complete AAT level 2.
